The Wisconsin women’s basketball team fell short against 5th ranked Maryland, falling 81-70 at the Kohl Center on Thursday night.
Maryland won for the 18th straight game, improving to 24-2 overall and a perfect 15-0 in Big Ten play.
Wisconsin (8-17, 4-11 Big Ten) trailed by 17 in the first half before hitting 3 three-pointers in the opening five minutes of the second half to pull to within three at 49-46.
Maryland stopped the rally at that point and didn’t allow the Badgers to spoil their perfect Big Ten mark.
