The Green Bay Phoenix women’s basketball team cruised to a 87-45 victory on Thursday night, giving coach Kevin Borseth his 600th career victory.
Borseth became the 51st coach in NCAA women’s basketball history to reach 600 wins.
The victory leaves Green Bay (21-4, 11-1) one win shy of clinching its 17th-straight Horizon League regular season championship. They’ll face Illinois-Chicago on Saturday at the Kress Center.
Tesha Buck continued to stay hot, scoring 16 points to lead five Green Bay players in double figures. Ellen Edison tied her season high with 14 points. She hit 4 of 6 from three-point range. The Phoenix as a team hit 12 of 25 from beyond the arc.
