Sam Dekker scored a career high 22 points and Frank Kaminsky added 16 points and nine rebounds to lead the 5th-ranked Wisconsin Badgers to a 55-47 win over Penn State at the Bryce Jordan Center in State College, Pennsylvania on Wednesday night.
The Badgers (24-2, 12-1 Big Ten) won their ninth straight game to extend their lead to three games over Maryland, Michigan State and Purdue. All four teams have five games left in the Big Ten regular season.
Dekker hit 3 of 6 three-pointers and 9 of thirteen shots overall, to go along with five rebounds.
Nigel Hayes added 9 points and 13 rebounds for the Badgers, who hit just 5 of 22 from three-point range (22.7%) for the game.
D.J. Newbill scored 29 points to lead all scorers for Penn State. He hit 13 of 21 overall, but the rest of his teammates combined to hit 8 of 33 for a total of 18 points.
The Badgers return to Madison to face Minnesota on Saturday.
