A day after he was asked about his stance on evolution, Governor Scott Walker once again dodged the question when posed to him by reporters.
The governor was asked whether he believes in evolution following a talk Wednesday at London’s Chatham House, which he decided to “punt” on. During a call with Wisconsin reporters Thursday morning, Walker stood by his reasoning for refusing to answer the question. Walker said “I’m on a trip focused on trade and investment…since that’s my purpose, that’s the reason taxpayers are sending me on the team, that’s what I’m focused in on.”

Walker brushed off follow up questions as to whether the issue does matter though, since he’s currently considering a run for President. “I’m just pointing out in four year, it wasn’t important enough for you or anyone else on the call to ask, so it obviously isn’t an important part of being governor.”
The governor is wrapping up a trade mission to the United Kingdom, where he has been working this week to promote Wisconsin exports.
