The wait is on, for the holder of a million dollar Powerball ticket sold in Racine to step forward. The ticket was sold at the Durand Mart BP station on the city’s south side, for Wednesday night’s $564 million drawing. Owner Coy Peterson said it’s the biggest winning ticket they’ve ever sold.
“The last four or five months, we’ve sold a couple of $50,000” winning tickets, he said. “We’ve been on a roll, we’ve been hot, and customers are loving it.” Peterson hopes the winner is a regular customer.
Meanwhile, state lottery officials have identified Glenn Lyon of Delevan as the winner of a million dollar prize in the January 17 Powerball drawing. The ticket was purchased at Uncle Bucks on Rowley Road in Delavan.
Both winning tickets matched the five regular numbers, but not the Powerball.
