Running backs coach Thomas Brown is leaving Wisconsin after just one season with the Badgers.
Brown is one of two assistants retained by Paul Chryst when he took over. But Brown, who has developed a reputation as an outstanding recruiter, has been named the running backs coach at Georgia.
Brown is a native of Georgia. He played at the school and finished as the fifth-leading rusher in program history with 2,646 yards.
Brown played a big role in recruiting two promising tailbacks for Wisconsin’s 2015 freshman class. He landed Bradrick Shaw from Hoover, Alabama and Jordan Stevenson, from Dallas. Both backs had offers from a number of top schools, including the likes of Alabama, Ohio State, Texas, Mississippi State and South Carolina among others.
