The worst season in Wisconsin hockey history is finally over. The Badgers fell to the Michigan Wolverines 5-1 in the first round of the Big Ten Tournament at Joe Louis Arena on Thursday night.
The Badgers (4-26-5, 2-16-3-2) fell to 0-5 against Michigan this season. Wisconsin’s only goal game at 9:14 of the third period from Jedd Soleway.
The Badgers ended the season with their fewest wins (four), most losses (26) and most shutout defeats (8) in program history.
Wisconsin finished 0-for-6 on the power play, while the Wolverines converted once in three tries.
Michigan moves on to face Michigan State in a Big Ten Tournament semifinal Friday night at 7 p.m.
