Badgers fall in Big Ten women’s tournament opener

March 5, 2015 By Bill Scott

MotionW_2ColorJacki Gulczynski’s three-pointer at the buzzer in the Big Ten Tournament was first called good.  But after a review, the basket was taken away and Purdue held off the Wisconsin Badgers 58-56 in opening round action.

The Boilermakers (11-19) snapped a 10-game losing streak and advance to face Minnesota in today’s second round.

The Badgers (9-20) blew a 51-42 lead with 8:12 left to play and saw their season come to an end.
