The Milwaukee Bucks fell to 2-5 since sending their leading scorer, Brandon Knight to Phoenix as part of a 3-team trade at the February NBA trade deadline. They lost their 3rd straight road game last night, 106-95 to the Denver Nuggets at the Pepsi Center.
Denver had just fired coach Brian Shaw a few hours earlier, after the Nuggets hat lost 6-straight games and 10-straight at home. Melvin Hunt took over on the bench last night, on an interim basis.
But the Bucks have their own issues. Their defense has faltered and the offensive punch has fallen off as well.
Danilo Gallinari scored a season-high 26 points, Ty Lawson had 16 points and 10 assists and Kenneth Faried had 14 points and 14 rebounds to lead Denver.
The Bucks (32-28) have dropped five of their last six. Ersan Ilyasova had 21 to lead the Bucks. Khris Middleton added 20 points and seven rebounds and Giannis Antetokounmpo added 19 points in 11 rebounds.
The Bucks close out their four-game road trip at Golden State tonight.
