Kaminsky recognized as USBWA first-team All-American

Wisconsin’s Frank Kaminsky was named to the 2014-15 U.S. Basketball Writers Association Men’s All-America First Team today.

Kaminsky is joined by fellow senior Jerian Grant of Notre Dame, along with Willie Cauley-Stein of Kentucky, Jahlil Okafor of Duke and D’Angelo Russell of Ohio State.

Kaminsky is the just the third Badger to garner USBWA All-America honors, joining Alando Tucker (1st team) in 2007 and Devin Harris (2nd team) in 2007.

Kaminsky led the Badgers in points (18.2), rebounds (8.0), assists (90), blocks (52) and steals (30).  The Lisle, Illinois native is shooting a team-best 55.3 percent this season and ranks third on the team for 3-point shooting at 39.5%.  He has scored in double figures in 27 straight games and 32 out of 33 games played this season.
