As the Badgers get set to take on Duke in the NCAA Championship game, Governor Scott Walker is placing a friendly wager with North Carolina Governor Pat McCrory on the outcome of tonight’s game.

Walker is offering up a selection of Wisconsin cheese, sausage, and root beer that Wisconsin men’s basketball team will come out on top. McCrory is wagering North Carolina barbecue, coleslaw, hush puppies and Cheerwine that Duke will win the national title.

In a statement, Walker called the Badgers’ appearance in the finals an “incredible moment” for the state. He added “The members of the Badger men’s basketball team represent Wisconsin so well with their talent, class, personality, and great character. Duke is a formidable opponent, but this is Wisconsin’s year to bring home the victory. Make ‘em believe!”

The Badgers and Blue Devils play tonight at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. Tip off is set for 8:18 p.m. CT.
