La Crosse is one victory away from NCAA Championship round

Rain wiped out Day 3 of the NCAA Division III College Baseball World Series on Sunday at Fox Cities Stadium.

The delay gave the UW-La Crosse Eagles a day of rest, following their 3-2, 12-inning win late Saturday night over Emory College.  That game took 4 hours and 7 minutes to play and didn’t end until about 1 in the morning on Sunday.

La Crosse (35-13) will play the last game of the day today against the winner of an elimination game.

Action this morning is scheduled to start at 9am, weather permitting.

A victory tonight would put La Crosse in the championship round.
