Aramis Ramirez doubled three times and drove in five runs to lead the Milwaukee Brewers to a 8-4 win over the Washington Nationals at Miller Park on Friday night.

Ramirez put the Brewers up 2-0 in the first with his ninth double of the season.  His 10th drive in a run in the third, then his 11th drove in two runs in the Brewers’ four-run fourth inning.

The Brewers did most of their damage off of Jordan Zimmerman (5-4).  The Auburndale, Wisconsin native allowed six runs and nine hits in 3 1/3 innings.  He walked one and struck out four.  Zimmerman entered the game with a 4-0 record and 2.35 ERA in five career starts against the Brewers.

Bryce Harper clubbed his 21st home run of the season for the Nationals in the second, then drove in another run with a rbi single in the third.

Mike Fiers worked seven innings, allowing three runs and five hits to improve his record to 3-6.  Fiers struck out eight and walked three to improve to 2-0 lifetime against the Nationals.

The Brewers have captured the first two games in the series.  They’ll send Jimmy Nelson (3-6, 4.05 ERA) to the mound in game three of the series today.
