John Brodner’s walk-off, game-winning single gave the Kenosha Kingfish a 2-1 victory over the Madison Mallards and the Northwoods League South Division Championship.
Brodner also scored the game tying run in the eighth inning for the Kingfish, on a Jeremy Vasquez single to center.
The win, moves Kenosha into the best-of-three Summer Collegiate World Series against the St. Cloud Rox starting Thursday night at Simmons Field in Kenosha.
Brendon Allen worked six strong innings for the Kingfish and Ryan Orr tossed the final three innings in relief to earn the win.
St. Cloud captured the North Division title with a 10-3 win over Duluth.
