Packers release five players today

Packers logoThe Green Bay Packers announced the release of five players this afternoon.

The five players are LB Tavarus Dantzler, T Fabbians Ebbele, LB Josh Francis, DT Lavon Hooks and T Vince Kowalski.

The Packers still have to reduce their roster to 75 players by 3pm Tuesday afternoon.  They’ll have to make their final roster cuts after hosting the New Orleans Saints in the final preseason game.  All NFL teams will have to be down to 53 players by 3pm Saturday.  They’ll be able to start filling out their practice squads the following day.

The Packers will hold their final open to the public practice on Tuesday afternoon.
