Nobody is really certain if there’s anything wrong with guard Josh Sitton and the Green Bay Packers top offensive lineman and head coach Mike McCarthy aren’t saying.
The eighth year pro has skipped most contact drills during the last couple of days of workouts. McCarthy called it general soreness.
Sitton said his toe, which caused him to miss a lot of practice last season, is fine.
Sitton said, “We’re just being smart right now. We’re not concerned with anything in the long run. I’ll be just fine.”
Sitton doesn’t feel he needs as many reps in practice as he did in the past. He’s dealt with nagging injuries for much of his career, but he’s always been able to play on Sunday.
With Sitton, Mike McCarthy said last years offensive line is the best he’s ever coached and with everybody back, will be even better this year.
