Heavy winds and large hail caused a lot of damage across the state Sunday.

Door County was hardest hit, with roughly 15,000 homes and businesses in the county without power at the peak of the storm. In addition to power lines, uprooted trees fell on houses and cars.

In Waushara County, a tree fell on a moving vehicle, but the driver escaped injury. Golf-ball size hail was reported between Saxeville and Mount Morris. In downtown Racine, a wall collapsed at a construction site due of wind gusts of 50 miles per hour.

Overall, the storm knocked out power to about 45,000 customers statewide. As of mid-afternoon Monday, several thousand were still without service. There were no injuries or fatalities reported in connection with the storms.
