Milwaukee’s most consistent starting pitcher didn’t have it going on Sunday as the Brewers dropped their series finale to the Reds, 6-3 in Cincinnati.

Jimmy Nelson surrendered home runs to Jay Bruce and Brandon Phillips.  Both players collected three hits in the win.

The Reds jumped out to a 5-0 lead after five innings and were never challenged.

The loss marked the first time in nine games the Brewers had failed to score at least four runs.  Ryan Braun clubbed his 25th home run in the loss.

Brewers rookie Zach Davies makes his second major league start today when Milwaukee opens a three-game series in Miami.  (12:10pm CT first pitch)
