Brewers rained out in Cincinnati

September 5, 2015 By Bill Scott

Brewers logoThe rain let up just long enough to set off some fireworks, but the game between the Milwaukee Brewers and Cincinnati Reds was called off on Friday night.  The two teams will play a day-night doubleheader today.

The Brewers will be shooting for their fifth straight win behind Matt Garza at 12:10 p.m. today.  Left-hander John Lamb pitches the opener for the Reds, who have lost 15 of their last 18 games.

Great American Ballpark has been the scene of 15 rain delays totaling nearly 22 hours.

Meanwhile, the Brewers, with a roof over their head at Miller Park, have experienced only three rain delays all season.

Jonathan Lucroy will try to extend his hitting streak to 12 games today.
