Wisconsin punter Drew Meyer has been named the Big Ten’s Special Teams Player of the Week.

Meyer averaged 46.8 yards per punt on five attempts in the Badgers win over Illinois, placing three of his five punts inside the 20-yard line.

Meyer recorded three punts of 50 yards or more for the second time this season and third time in his career.

The Badger punter claimed his first career Special Teams Player of the Week honor.  The last Badger to claim the honor is Brad Nortman, on October 25, 2010.
