November 23, 2015 By Bill Scott

Green Bay Phoenix logo 2After a slow start, the Green Bay men’s basketball team dialed up the defensive pressure in the second half and went on to beat the Minnesota-Duluth Bulldogs 94-74 at the Resch Center.  The win gives first-year head coach Linc Darner his first career Division 1 victory at Green Bay.

Senior guard Carrington Love scored 22 points and added a career-high tying five steals to lead the Phoenix, who shot 57% from the field in the second half to pull away for the win.

Green Bay junior guard Tevin Findlay added a career high 15-points in 17 minutes, going four for five from the field and three-for-three from three-point range.

Green Bay shot just 35% in the first half and trailed by one at halftime.

The Phoenix (1-3) will return to the Resch Center on Tuesday night against undefeated Akron (3-0).
