The Green Bay got 22 points and 10 rebounds from Kaili Lukan on Friday night, leading the Phoenix to a 75-55 win in their women’s basketball season opener at the Kress Center.
Marquette cut Green Bay’s lead to 36-30 at halftime, but the Phoenix answered and went up 52-37 in the third quarter.
Marquette returns just two players from last year’s team and have eight new freshmen on the roster.
Tesha Buck added 19 points, including five three-point baskets for Green Bay.
McKayla Yentz led Marquette with 11 points.
