Officer killed in Dane County traffic crash

police_dane_sheriffA law enforcement officer was killed in a traffic crash in the Dane County town of Albion Monday.

The incident occurred just north of the Rock-Dane County line. The Dane County Sheriff’s Office and Edgerton Fire Department responded to scene just after noon in the 100 block of County Highway N.

The Dane County Sheriff’s Office said an officer who was driving one of the vehicles was killed, and a woman who was driving the other vehicle was transported to a local hospital with injuries.

Officials have not said which law enforcement agency the offer belonged to.
