Badgers cruise past Temple

December 6, 2015 By Bill Scott

Motion WWisconsin’s youth played a big role in their 76-60 win over the Temple Owls in men’s college basketball action at the Kohl Center on Saturday.

Freshmen Ethan Happ, Charlie Thomas, Alex Illikainen and Khalil Iverson combined for 25 points and 14 rebounds to help the Badgers in front of the more than 17-thousand at the Kohl Center.

Nigel Hayes came up with his third straight double-double, scoring 18 points and pulling down 12 rebounds as the Badgers improved to six-and-three.  Bronson Koenig added 17.

Defensively, Hayes held Temple’s top scorer Quenton DeCosey to just three points.

The game marked the start of a long home-stand for the Badgers, who will host UW-Milwaukee on Wednesday.
