Redshirt freshman Ethan Happ scored 18 points and pulled down 15 rebounds to lead the unranked Wisconsin Badgers to a 66-58 overtime win over 14th ranked Syracuse in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge.

Wisconsin committed a season-high 20 turnovers, but outscored the Orangemen 30-14 in the paint to pull out the win.

Nigel Hayes added 15 points and 12 rebounds as four Badgers scored in double figures, handing Syracuse its first loss (6-1) of the season.

The Badgers (5-3) won the battle on the boards (51-25) and hit eleven of their final 12 free throws.

Bronson Koenig hit a game-tying three-pointer with 1:21 left in regulation.  He finished with 12 points and six-rebounds.

Syracuse came in to the game shooting 41% from three-point range but hit just 7 of 24 (29%) against the Badgers and hit only eleven-of-20 free throws.

The Badgers return home to host Temple at the Kohl Center on Saturday.
