Clement decides to return for senior year

Wisconsin Badger junior tailback Corey Clement was talking about heading to the N-F-L a year early.  Clement on Tuesday made it known that he will be returning to Madison for his senior season with the Badgers.

Clement missed a good portion of this season with a sports hernia and subsequent surgery.  He later was cited for disorderly conduct, after he allegedly started a fight at his apartment on November eighth that injured his right hand.

Running backs coach John Settle said it would help Clement’s psyche if he could play in the December 30th Holiday Bowl against U-S-C.  But that’s not certain yet.

Clement did conditioning drills during the Badgers’ practice on Tuesday.  He didn’t play in the regular season finale against Minnesota and had just 24 yards in his most recent game, a home loss to Northwestern in late November.
