Wisconsin redshirt sophomore Riley Dearring has decided to leave the Wisconsin men’s basketball team after playing a combined six minutes in three games this season.
Dearring on Twitter said, “I am truly grateful to the University of Wisconsin for the opportunity, but I feel it’s best for me if I continue my career elsewhere.
“I want to thank all my current and former teammates for all the great memories!
“I want to thank all the fans for their support, I will cherish every second I was able to spend here but I need to move forward. I wish the program the best of luck in the future!”
Dearring appeared in only 15 games as a redshirt freshman last season. He scored 11 points and played a total of 39 minutes.
