Fatal hit-and-run in Oconto County

December 22, 2015 By WRN Contributor

The Oconto County Sheriff’s Department is investigating after a man’s body was found in a ditch early Tuesday morning. Deputies were called out to County Road S in Sobieski.

Sheriff Mike Jansen says they believe this was a hit-and-run because of the vehicle parts that were found near the body. Deputies are talking to people who live nearby. They’re asking anyone who may have been traveling down County Road S Monday night, and saw anything suspicious, to contact them.

The Oconto County Sheriff’s Department number is 920-834-6900.
