Powerball jackpot is at $334 million

December 31, 2015 By Bob Hague

The jackpot in the multi-state Powerball lottery is up to $334 million for Saturday night. It’s the largest Powerball jackpot amount since February 11th, when players in North Carolina, Texas, and Puerto Rico split a $564 million prize.

Nobody won the jackpot Wednesday night. Tickets sold in Appleton and Hurley each won the third prize of $50,000, and nearly 25,000 Wisconsin players won smaller prizes.

There hasn’t been a Powerball jackpot winner from Wisconsin since 2009. That’s when Doug Miron of Marinette won almost $31.5 million. Miron elected to take the cash option, which for Saturday will be $205 million.
