It took a while, but winter has finally arrived across Wisconsin. Eastern and southern Wisconsin bore the brunt of the season’s first major snowstorm. The process of digging out was already underway Tuesday morning.
The Green Bay area received 11.5 inches of snow, Milwaukee had a record 9 inches for the date, and other locales recieved three inches to nearly a foot. Winds up to 60-miles-per-hour whipped that snow around overnight.
Southeast Wisconsin may have had the worst of it, with sleet and freezing rain plus the heavy snow.
