A fourth-quarter comeback fell short for the Wisconsin women’s basketball team, falling to the Iowa Hawkeyes 57-54 at the Kohl Center on Wednesday night.

The Badgers outscored the Hawkeyes 19-6 in the final quarter, but Nicole Bauman and Dakota Whyte missed long shots in the final seconds that would have sent the game to overtime.

Bauman scored her one-thousandth career point to lead the Badgers with 16 points.

Ally Disterhoft scored 18 for Iowa (13-4, 3-2 Big Ten).  The Badgers fell to 6-9 overall and 2-3 in Big Ten play.
