Badgers receive tailback commit

January 25, 2016 By Bill Scott

Bucky Badger logoThe Wisconsin football team received an oral commitment from 5’11, 210-pound tailback Sam Brodner from Glenbard West High School in Illinois for its 2016 class.

Brodner rushed for 47 touchdowns and nearly 2,000 yards as a senior, helping Glenbard win the Class 7A state title and was named the Gatorade Player of the Year in Illinois.

Brodner is the 24th known commitment but the first tailback in the 2016 class.  He chose UW over Illinois and Iowa.

Two of the members of the 2016 class are already enrolled at Wisconsin and set to take part in spring practice.
