Bucks fall short at Memphis

January 29, 2016 By Bill Scott

Milwaukee Bucks logo 10The Milwaukee Bucks entered Thursday nights game at Memphis leading the NBA in points in the paint (49.3 average).  They finished with 46, but hit just 36.7% from the field (29 of 79), falling to the Grizzlies 103-83.

Tony Allen held Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo to seven points on two-of-ten shooting.  Antetokounmpo became so frustrated with his game that he was ejected  with 6:30 left in the fourth quarter and the Bucks down by 21 points.

Antetokounmpo had been playing well in previous games and had eight dunks against Orlando on Wednesday night.  Against the Grizzlies, he has a hard time getting to the rim.

Jeff Green led the Grizzlies with 21 points off the bench.  Center Marc Gasol added 15 points and eight rebounds.

Greg Monroe had 21 points to lead the Bucks, who made just one of 16 from three-point range on the night.

It’s another quick turn-around for the Bucks tonight.  They’ll host the Miami Heat at the BMO Harris Bradley Center.
