Minnesota Freshman goaltender Eric Schierhorn posted his third career shutout as the Gophers marched into Madison and blanked the Wisconsin Badgers 4-0 on Friday night at the Kohl Center.

Schierhorn made 29 saves as the Gophers improved to 12-10 overall and 7-2 in the Big Ten.

The Badgers (4-11-6, 1-6-1-2 Big Ten) outshot the Gophers 29-25 but couldn’t find the back of the net.

The two teams close out the series at the Kohl Center tonight.
