Beloit driver charged with 4th Offense OWI

February 29, 2016 By WRN Contributor

A 47-year-old Beloit man is facing a charge of 4th Offense Operating While Intoxicated, and violating parole for a 1994 conviction for Homicide by the Intoxicated Use of a Motor Vehicle.

Janesville police said Steven D. Richardson was arrested about 6:30 p.m. Sunday after a vehicle accident near the intersection of Milton Avenue and Humes Road.

Officers said Richardson made a lane change into another vehicle. As they investigated, they say Richardson smelled of intoxicants and admitted to drinking. Police say Richardson did have a valid driver’s license. He also has OWI convictions from 2002 and 2008.
