Former Sheboygan alderman sentenced for child sex assault

February 29, 2016 By WRN Contributor

A disgraced former Sheboygan alderman will spend ten years behind bars for sexually assaulting a child. Thirty-four-year-old Kevin Matichek will also spend 10 years on extended supervision after he was sentenced Monday.

According to the criminal complaint, a 14-year-old boy told officers the two had sex in Matichek’s car and bedroom. The encounters took place from June until September of 2014.

After he was charged early last year, Matichek resigned from the Sheboygan City Council.
