Victims identified in Columbia County crash

February 23, 2016 By WRN Contributor

The Columbia County Sheriff’s Department has identified the three people killed as the result of a single vehicle crash on Sunday night.

The victims. 18 year-old Zia Rowan of Oxford, 19 year-old Jack Stalker of Montello and 26 year-old Donald Pangburn of Baraboo, were dead at the scene. A third male passenger was hospitalized.

According to a news release from the sheriff’s department, a 911 call received Sunday night reported a vehicle was rolled over about three miles south of Portage. Rescue personnel found four people trapped in the vehicle, a Buick LeSabre.

Investigators said speed was a significant factor in the fatal crash.
