WIAC Men’s race going right down to the wire

Kaukauna Basktball 006U-W La Crosse missed a chance to earn at least a share of the W-I-A-C men’s basketball title, falling to U-W Eau Claire 64-to-57 on Wednesday night in Eau Claire.

The loss dropped La Crosse to a first-place tie with U-W River Falls at 9-and-4.  Eau Claire and Oshkosh are both one game back at 8-and-5.

River Falls stayed in the running with an 81-79 victory at Stout, while Oshkosh missed a chance to move into a three-way tie for the lead, falling at Whitewater 70-61.

The final game of the regular season is this weekend.

W-I-A-C Women

In the W-I-A-C women’s race, River Falls and 14th-ranked Oshkosh remain tied at 11-and-2 and they’ll face each other for the season title on Saturday at River Falls.
