Plans by a commercial laundry manufacturer to invest in a $58 million expansion of its Ripon headquarters got a big boost this week, after the Fond du Lac County Board on Thursday signed-off on an agreement for loans and tax incentives for the project.
The agreement between Alliance Laundry System, the county, and the Fond du Lac County Economic Development Corporation amends a previous performance-based $6 million loan to the company, while also providing up to $1.5 million in payment credit incentives for each job the project creates. Alliance expects the expansion, which included building a new warehouse and upgrading existing facilities, could create up to 202 new jobs.
All 21 members of the County Board approved the amendment, which Rob Wallace of Alliance said proves the slogan of “Wisconsin is open for business.”
