New Brewers starting pitcher Chase Anderson has made four spring starts and he’s still looking for some positive results.
Anderson allowed seven hits and four runs over four innings as the Milwaukee Brewers fell to the Cincinnati Reds 7-6 at Maryvale Baseball Park in Phoenix on Friday.
Three of the four runs allowed were unearned after Ryan Braun dropped a two-out fly ball in left field. Joey Votto followed with a single and Adam Duvall homered to get the Reds off to an early lead.
Anderson’s spring ERA stands at 10.13 and he’s allowed a team-high four homers in 10 2/3 innings.
The Brewers (8-7-1) will face the Angels this afternoon. Wily Peralta gets the start for the Brewers. Scooter Gennett is expected to see his first action at second base.
