Candidates seeking the Republican presidential nomination turn their focus on to Wisconsin today, with two of them planning stops to speak with potential GOP voters.
Texas Senator Ted Cruz is scheduled to make his first Wisconsin campaign stop, with an appearance at an event near Milwaukee hosted by a conservative radio talk show host. WTMJ radio host Charlie Sykes announced Tuesday that Cruz would attend the Insight 2016 event on Wednesday night in Pewaukee. He joins a long slate of conservative candidates and politicians who will be appearing at the event.
Ohio Governor John Kasich, who is running third in the delegate count, plans to hold a town hall event in Wauwatosa later today.
Current GOP front-runner Donald Trump has not yet announced any appearances in the state.
Wisconsin’s presidential preference primary is April 5th.
