Oshkosh police find baby in room with meth lab

April 26, 2016 By WRN Contributor

A ten-month-old child has been placed in protective custody with human services officials in Winnebago County, after being found in a hotel room which Oshkosh police said also contained a methamphetamine lab.

Police were called to the hotel at around 10 a.m. Monday to locate a man who had an outstanding warrant. Officers found the 27-year-old man in a parking lot and arrested him. It was during a search of the man’s hotel room that police found the meth lab, along with a 26-year-old Oshkosh woman and the baby.

A Chicago-based hazardous materials disposal team was called in to clean up the meth lab and cleared the scene about 11 hours later.
