With just five days to go until Wisconsin’s presidential preference primary, the state will once again be in the spotlight this weekend as the campaigns wrap up their efforts to win next Tuesday.
Republican hopefuls Ted Cruz and John Kasich will both be in Milwaukee this evening, for a Milwaukee County Republican Party event at Serb Hall. Former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin will be appearing on behalf of front-runner Donald Trump’s campaign.
Former president Bill Clinton will make a stop in Appleton this afternoon, where he will be campaigning on behalf of his wife, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders has a town hall event in Sheboygan this afternoon.
The candidates will continue swings across the state this weekend, with several events scheduled. Trump has town halls in Milwaukee on Sunday and Monday. Cruz is also planning multiple events over the weekend, including a Sunday evening rally in Eau Claire. Kasich will hold events in Racine, Janesville, and Madison on Saturday.
Clinton will be in Eau Claire Saturday afternoon, and will appear at a state Democratic Party event in Milwaukee later that evening. Sanders will also be in Eau Claire Saturday and at the Milwaukee event. He also has rallies planned in Wausau and Madison Sunday, and then Green Bay on Monday.
