‘Slender Man’ suspects will remain in custody

April 15, 2016 By WRN Contributor

Two girls accused in the so-called “Slender Man” stabbing case will remain behind bars. A Waukesha County judge ruled Friday that keeping Morgan Geyser and Anissa Weier in custody each under $500,000 bail is still appropriate.

Both girls had asked the judge to live with their families after being jailed for nearly two years. But Judge Michael Bohren said at least one of the girls is a flight risk and both will remain in custody.

Geyser and Weier face up to 65 years in prison if they’re convicted as adults of attempted first-degree homicide.

The victim survived the 2014 attack and has returned to school.
