Appleton woman questioned for husband’s murder

May 27, 2016 By WRN Contributor

Appleton police are questioning a woman about the stabbing death of her husband on the city’s north side. Police were called to the couple’s home in the 900 block of N. Durkee Street, just after 3:30 a.m.

Sergeant Dave Lund says officers found a 35-year-old man with stab wounds, and he was pronounced dead at a hospital. The woman is 34 years old.

Lund says there were children in the home, and relatives are taking care of them. He says a family member called police to report the stabbing.
