Triple “A” right handed pitcher Junior Guerra will start for the Milwaukee Brewers Tuesday night against the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.
The 31-year-old Guerra replaces Taylor Jungmann, who went down to Triple “A” Colorado Springs last week after an 0-4 start with the Brewers.
Guerra is 0-2 for the Sky Sox with a 4.63 ERA, but Brewers’ manager Craig Counsell says he has thrown well, especially in his first couple of starts, with 23 strikeouts in 23 1/3 innings.
New general manager David Stearns made Guerra his first acquisition last October after the Chicago White Sox put him on waivers. He made three relief appearances for Chicago last year and had a 3.13 ERA in 31 total starting and relief outings in Double “A” and Triple “A” in 2015.
