Wily Peralta will stay in the Milwaukee Brewers’ rotation, and will make his scheduled start on Friday night against the Mets in New York.

Manager Craig Counsell says benching or demoting Peralta would not help him, and he needs to pitch through his troubles to turn himself around.

Peralta is 2-4 with the Majors’ second worst ERA among qualifying starters at 7.30.  he went 5-10 with a 4.72 ERA in 2015.  He was the Brewers best pitcher in 2014, finishing the season with a 17-11 record and a 3.53 ERA in 32 starts.
