Brewers late rally falls short against the Dodgers (AUDIO)

June 29, 2016 By Bill Scott

Brewers logoThe Los Angeles Dodgers came up with a couple of big defensive plays to hold off a late Milwaukee rally in a 6-5 win over the Brewers on Tuesday night at Miller Park.

19-year-old Dodger rookie Julio Urias earned his first Major League win, the first teenager to do so since Felix Hernandez back in 2005.

Jonathan Lucroy doubled in two runs in the 8th, then scored from second on a Chris Carter sacrifice fly.  The rally ended when Hernan Perez tried scoring from second on a wild pitch and was thrown out at the plate.

Chase Anderson, pitching on 9-days rest, took the loss, falling to 4-8.  He allowed six runs (five earned) on eights hits in four-plus innings.

Junior Guerra pitches game two of the series for the Brewers tonight.
