Wisconsin Democrats meet in Green Bay

June 3, 2016 By [email protected]

Wisconsin Democrats are meeting in Green Bay for their annual convention. And while they’ll be highlighting their own candidates, they’ll also definitely be talking about Donald Trump.

“Donald Trump is an entertainer and a con, and not someone who should be in the oval office. It is such a risk,” said state party chair Martha Laning.

House Speaker Paul Ryan has now endorsed Trump — but Laning is betting rank-and-file Republicans won’t, citing his failure in the April primary.

“He lost miserably here in the state of Wisconsin, because Wisconsinites know Donald Trump is not a leader,” Laning said.

The convention begins Friday evening and wraps up Saturday, at the Radisson Hotel & Conference Center in Green Bay.
