Chad T. Mukina, Felicia R. Tousey
A pair of Janesville residents are facing charges, after more than a dozen puppies were rescued from their residence.
The Rock County Sheriff’s Office says 37-year-old Chad T. Mukina and 21-year-old Felicia R. Tousey were booked Thursday morning on charges of Felony Mistreating Animals, Failure to Provide Adequate Water, and Operating as a Dog Dealer without a License.
The charges come after deputies executed a search warrant last month at home, seizing 12 mixed breed puppies. All of the dogs were estimated to be less than ten weeks old. The search warrant affidavit says about a dozen other dogs died, apparently from a lack of care.
The surviving pups were turned over to the care of the Humane Society of Southern Wisconsin, where they are currently receiving care.
